Develop, implement and monitor strategies that achieve office goals, objectives, and long-range plans that parallel with the overall organizational goals. Ensure that the operating procedures are in accordance with company standards while developing and maintaining sustainable business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Provide effective leadership that ensures that the business objectives are met.
  2. Create an invaluable management structure and control system.
  3. Exercise appropriate budgetary control.
  4. Develop, maintain and cultivate client and agent relationships.
  5. Solicit, market, quote, bind, and confirm new and existing business.
  6. Negotiate the best terms and coverages available with accessible markets.
  7. Ensure submissions reflect accurate data such as risks and coverages.
  8. Monitor accounts to ensure compliance with the firm's policies and procedures.
  9. Supervise a multi-person team and effectively communicate the clients' needs.
  10. Ensure production employees meet or exceed assigned goals.
  11. Maintain necessary licenses to produce business.
  12. Capabilities must include complete marketing and brokering skills.
  13. Meet or exceed production goals as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree or appropriate insurance designation
  2. Five years of experience in production and marketing of new accounts
  3. Experience managing a large staff
  4. Must be licensed in corresponding areas of insurance
  5. Good Inter personal skills are essential and an ability to communicate and influence at all levels is critical
  6. Clear and consistent leadership of staff
  7. Concentrate on the development of a strong and profitable branch office
  8. Must be able to understand and analyze necessary components of insurance policies
  9. Ability to understand the client's needs and have knowledge of the risk profiles associated
  10. Recognize new trends and developments in the insurance industry and be able to incorporate that into the strategy
  11. Abilities must include preparing submissions for markets and securing quotes
  12. Ability to develop, foster, and maintain an excellent working relationship with agencies
  13. Must possess and maintain current knowledge of the insurance industry
  14. Good written and verbal skills
  15. Maintain travel schedule depending on the needs of clients, Agents, and new business
  16. Ability to work extended hours when necessary
