Our client, an international Architecture and Design Firm, is in search of a skilled Project Engineer to join their dynamic team in Chesterfield, MO.

The Project Engineer plays a vital role in:

  • Maintaining daily communication and coordination with planning portfolio engineers, client management, and sponsors to develop a comprehensive integrated portfolio plan based on existing projects and strategic planning
  • Ensuring alignment and coordination across projects within the work portfolio
  • Participating in budget planning sessions with various client stakeholders such as general managers and supervisors to incorporate the long-term plan
  • Collaborating with diverse client stakeholders to determine budget allocations for transmission projects based on feasibility and need
  • Assisting the client in formulating the 10-year plan
  • Assisting in the preparation and consolidation of the client's rate filing for PJM
  • Verifying engineering cost estimates for accuracy and project scope
  • Assessing project change requests (scope, in-service dates, etc.) and aligning them with the existing and long-term project portfolio
  • Coordinating with outage management to compile a regional project set that minimizes conflicts by considering project feasibility and long-term planning
  • Providing informal guidance and training to the client's portfolio engineers on T&D design and project aspects
  • Coordinating with the client's financial department to establish project financial arrangements
  • Generating analysis & reports to support the client in monitoring, coordinating, and executing projects
  • Developing fundamental project scopes, schedules, and budgets for distribution to various client stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (mandatory)
  • Preferred 3+ years of experience in electric/gas planning, transmission lines, and/or substations
  • Demonstrated high level of attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication abilities and professional demeanor
  • Capability to manage project coordination across multiple entities during project commencement
