We are seeking an experienced Project Manager/Scrum Master to join our client's growing software engineering team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing and guiding scrum teams and reporting directly to the Director of Software Engineering.
Key Responsibilities- Lead project teams in the development of quality software in support of business objectives.
- Develop and implement an unbiased framework to establish priority and categorize projects based on established and approved criteria.
- Ensure development teams follow scrum framework values and agile practices, mentor and motivate teams to improve processes, facilitate meetings and decision-making processes, and eliminate team impediments.
- Have prior experience with project management and people leadership in an Agile software development environment.
- Use agile methodology values, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver solutions.
- Determine and manage tasks, issues, risks, and action items.
- Schedule and facilitate scrum events, meetings, and decision-making processes in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate outstanding project leadership skills to ensure delivery of projects on time and on budget.
- Monitor the performance of development resources and adjust as needed to ensure successful software roll out every sprint cycle.
- Successfully manage within the confines of time, cost, and quality across multiple initiatives and multiple time zones.
- Ensure the proper use of collaborative processes and removing impediments for the scrum team.
- Organize business analysis and quality assurance functions as they relate to software development.
- Own the weekly/bi-weekly software roll out ceremonies and drive change as needed.
- Prepare and present status reports to stakeholders on key performance indicators.
- Be proactive in communicating potential delays to leadership and be able to seek help when projects are in jeopardy.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Certified Scrum Master with at least 5 years of experience working as a Project Manager/Scrum Master in web development or e-commerce.
- Experience leading and managing mid-size to large software projects.
- Experience with multiple Project Management disciplines is desired.
- Meticulous attention to detail and extremely self-organized.
- Driven self-starter that is goal-oriented.
- Strong knowledge of Agile Scrum ceremonies.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
