Housekeeper/Room Attendant Position at The Hotel Silver Spring


The Hotel Silver Spring is looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as a Housekeeper/Room Attendant. As part of the StepStone Hospitality managed hotel, we are seeking someone with exceptional organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.


Previous experience in hotel housekeeping is a bonus but not mandatory.


Responsibilities:

  • Check in and out of the Housekeeping Office at the start and end of the shift respectively.
  • Perform daily cleaning and upkeep of assigned rooms and suites, which includes various tasks like bed stripping, bathroom cleaning, dusting, and stocking supplies.
  • Report any missing items from rooms and suites promptly.
  • Inform the supervisor about any maintenance issues and properly maintain work equipment.
  • Ensure guest safety and comfort by being courteous and maintaining security protocols.
  • Handle lost and found items by taking them to the housekeeping office.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in English language to communicate effectively with guests, colleagues, and vendors.
  • Ability to accurately document information and follow safety protocols related to physical tasks.
  • Strict adherence to StepStone and hotel policies and procedures.
  • Attendance at mandatory meetings.
  • Capable of lifting and pulling a minimum of 20 pounds, with other physical requirements like bending, stooping, and manual dexterity.
  • Basic hearing, writing, and reading skills.
  • Openness to other assigned duties.
