  • Receiving Specialist Apply locations Chicago, Illinois time type Full time posted on Posted 3 Days Ago job requisition id R We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator, in our Lockport DC F acility , to provide process support in achieving key performance indicators for all logistics activities, including shipping, receiving and inventory management.
This is a first shift position, working Monday-Friday, 7:30AM 4PM.

This position requires you to train in our Chicago, IL location until the Lockport location opens at the beginning of June.

Associate Degree or higher in relevant discipline, e.g., logistics, business administrationMinimum 3 years warehouse experience using warehouse management software.

Functional knowledge of ERP Systems, Logistics Execution and Warehouse Management modulesAbility to deliver clear and informative written and oral communication.

Ability to be certified in the operation of powered industrial lift trucks.
Occasionally lift up to 70 lbsGood working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

What you will be doing:
Back up other Coordinators functional areas through comprehensive cross training activities.

Provide backup for Team Lead including building and transmitting shipments to third party logistics providers, monitoring third party interface for accuracy, coordinate decisions with Transportation Planner, and execute on order processing requirements in SAP.Communicate with other functional areas of the operation (sales, planning, purchasing, customer Service, quality, and production) to ensure timely and accurate customer deliveries, warehouse efficiency and accurate inventory.

Other business support functions at Supervisors discretion.
Maintain a neat, orderly work area in accordance with established 6S principles.
Perform all job functions safely by following established safety protocols.
