Area Director at Fenway Campus - Division of Student Life, Residence Life

Create a welcoming and supportive environment for students to thrive academically and personally. As an Area Director, you will lead by example, oversee resident assistants, and manage day-to-day operations at the residence life office in the local community.

  • Train, supervise, and evaluate resident assistants and graduate resident assistants.
  • Ensure living spaces are safe, clean, and functional.
  • Regulate student conduct and enforce residential rules.
  • Respond to emergencies and conflicts as needed.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to promote student development.
  • Participate in Residence Life committees and represent the department at university functions.
  • This live-in position requires evening and weekend commitments.

Required Skills:

  • B.A./B.S., Master's degree preferred.
  • Excellent public presentation and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to make sound judgments under pressure.
  • Experience interacting with diverse communities.
  • Understanding of culturally diverse student needs.
  • Minimum of two years of direct experience.
  • Cover letter required for consideration.
