LHH seeks a Patient Coordinator in Tucson, AZ.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer telephone inquiries and manage patient appointment scheduling (initial and return).
  • Perform insurance verification, create new patient charts, and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Provide administrative support for closing patient visits, including insurance authorization, financial counseling, payment processing, and daily document research on electronic health/medical record systems.
  • Review charge information to ensure accuracy according to payer requirements; make corrections as needed.
  • Address claim edits, rejections, denials, and perform voids and corrections as necessary.
  • Submit clean and accurate claims, ensuring completeness of patient chart required elements.
  • Coordinate with the collection team to maintain the database, resolving accounts receivable.

Minimum Qualifications-

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 2 years of office administrative experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience with insurance verification and authorizations.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Spanish Speaking Preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience with EMR/electronic health/medical record systems (preferably NextGen and/or OnBase).
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA and other medical insurance regulations, terminology, and coding/billing/reimbursement protocols.

Onsite in Tucson, AZ Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm

Pay Details: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
