Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled nursing care to students with complex medical needs in a classroom setting
  • Administer medications, including feeding tube management and suctioning (for the male student) according to established guidelines and physician orders
  • Monitor students' health status and respond to medical emergencies according to established protocols
  • Collaborate with teachers and other related service providers to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student health records

Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of MA
  • Experience working with children with special needs, including seizure disorders and G-tube feeding
  • Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations
