The Role

We are seeking an experienced Major Gifts Officer who is deeply committed to advancing Muslim mental health and family wellness through impactful development projects. In this role, you will work closely with our board members and staff leaders to cultivate relationships with key donors, ensuring the financial strength and sustainability of our organization.

Impact Areas

- Lead The FYI's comprehensive development program with a focus on major gifts from individual donors at $10,000 and above.

Fundraising Strategy
  • Engage actively in all stages of the donor pipeline
  • Oversee fundraising initiatives during key events
  • Implement strategies to re-engage dormant donors
Major Gifts
  • Manage major gifts of $10,000 and above
  • Enhance donor relationships and secure higher-level gifts
  • Strengthen donor engagement through various channels
  • Travel for donor visits
Donor Database Management
  • Establish and maintain a donor database
  • Identify donors with major gift potential
  • Ensure database accuracy and generate reports
Team Collaboration
  • Collaborate with marketing team on impactful materials
  • Support additional tasks as needed
Requirements

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
  • Must have experience in Muslim-based philanthropy
  • Minimum 5 years of major gifts experience
  • Demonstrated success in securing major gifts
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills
  • Proficiency in ethical fundraising practices
  • Experience with fundraising software, NEON experience a plus
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Willingness to travel for donor visits
