Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations to join our team, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer. This pivotal role requires dynamic leadership to manage multiple departments and streamline interdependencies, ensuring the achievement of both operational and company goals. The Director of Operations will oversee the production of high-quality products, ensuring timely delivery and consistently exceeding customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage production, logistics, warehouse operations, production planning, and act as an engineering liaison.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Engineer to oversee quality processes, documentation, 5S, and safety procedures.
  • Maximize efficiency and productivity by streamlining processes.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Tech teams to provide proactive communication and feedback on quality issues, production schedules, and delivery timelines.
  • Ensure inventory control and accuracy in inventory management.
  • Work with the Controller to analyze cost-efficiency and department controls.
  • Maintain and optimize the ERP system for accuracy and continuous improvement.
  • Uphold a clean and organized working environment.
  • Communicate and align with colleagues in the Netherlands and the manufacturing plant.
  • Develop strategic plans for operational changes and growth.
  • Create and develop metrics aligned with overall goals, and implement root-cause and corrective actions.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and effective reporting to the COO and management team with clear action plans.
  • Foster a friendly, team-oriented environment and lead conflict resolution.
  • Engage, coach, and inspire the team to achieve goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Director of Operations managing multiple departments.
  • At least 10 years of experience in operations.
  • Experience in a small manufacturing environment, especially in assembling multi-component equipment, is preferred.
  • Proven track record in leading metrics, achieving results, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of HR practices and a development mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with ERP and Inventory Management Systems.
  • Willingness to travel overseas occasionally.
