Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU) was founded as a 501(c) (3) non-profit medical institution in 2005 aimed at increasing access to health care in medically underserved areas of the Pacific Northwest.
The University currently offers the degrees of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Master of Arts in Medical Science, and Master of Science in Occupational Therapy enrolling over 550 students annually with plans to develop other programs and/or colleges. Interprofessional education partnerships with other universities adds another 100 students to the population. The campus includes 300 employees with academic programming spread over a five state region.
PNWU is located in Yakima, WA, a city of approximately 95,000 located in the south central part of the state near the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountains in a major agricultural and outdoor recreation region. General Summary:
The Assistant Director of Creative Services provides leadership and direction for the creative aspects of how Marcomm projects takes shape, defining the look and feel of the finished product. This position works collaboratively with the public relations director to define the meaning that comes from Marcomm work. This person transforms the seed of ideas into finished creative products, working independently and within a team to develop and design various Marcomm projects while working with various stakeholders in and associated with PNWU. This position reports to the Chief Communications Officer.
Essential Job Functions:
•Produce fresh, innovative work that translates complex ideas into compelling print materials and digital experiences for visually sophisticated audiences.
•Conceive and implement concepts, guidelines, and strategies for various creative projects and oversee them to completion.
•Leads all strategically planned photography efforts, from planning to post-shoot editing.
•Works jointly with public relations director to execute successful social media engagement through photography, design, animation, and other elements used for a variety of SM posts and advertising.
•Conduct brainstorming sessions with all members of the MarComm team, maintaining strategic and creative thinking to develop innovative and actionable creative initiatives.
•Fosters a positive DEI environment through the strategic use of photography, design, and public-facing communication tools.
•Performs other related duties as assigned and based on departmental need.
