Job Requirements:
EDUCATION REQUIRED - BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING

SCHEDULE:
Typically from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM - Flexible on start & end times - could be 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Hybrid option available after 3 months - 2 days remote, 3 days working in the office.

Key Skills Required:

  • 5 or more years of experience in designing control systems
  • Understanding of hazardous area standards such as ATEX, IECEX, and NEC
  • Familiarity with ABS, DNVGL, and API standards related to BOP control systems
  • Experience with Rockwell Advance, ControlLogix, CompactLogix, and/or GE Fanuc hardware

Interview Process:
1st round will be held via MS Teams & 2nd round in person.

Job Role:
Undertake various electrical engineering tasks involved in designing, planning, and supervising the design and advancement of components, systems, and machinery utilized in BOP control systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and develop electronic interface circuitry applications for product control
  • Lead design team in creating electrical, schematic, interconnect, cabling, and assembly drawings
  • Ensure clarity of equipment scope and content during initial design phases
  • Develop control applications for new commercial, domestic, and industrial uses
  • Oversee activities to ensure compliance with functional specs and customer needs
  • Coordinate design projects for optimal use of engineering expertise
  • Provide guidance in preparation and project control to ensure scope, schedule, budget adherence
  • Set design criteria based on required codes and standards
  • Review contracts for technical and regulatory conformity
  • Document and communicate design changes to relevant parties
  • Assist sales team in defining engineering parameters for quotes
  • Engage with internal/external customers to understand project requirements
  • Engineer components/assemblies for BOP control systems as per contract and standards
  • Participate in design reviews
  • Offer technical support to manufacturing and during testing
  • Approve engineering documentation
  • Perform assigned work-related tasks
  • Adhere to all Company and HSE policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
  • 5 or more years of experience in control systems design
  • Familiarity with hazardous area standards (e.g., ATEX, IECEx, NEC) preferred
  • Knowledge of ABS, DNVGL, and API standards for BOP control systems preferred
  • CompEx training or equivalent would be a bonus
