Our client in Nashville is seeking an AR Billing & Collections Specialist to join their team. This is a contract-to-hire position with the opportunity to grow your career in the apparel design industry

The work hours are 8-5 Monday through Friday and on a hybrid schedule, with 2-3 days in office. 

Responsibilities:
  • Timely and accurate invoicing, working with sales and customer service to address billing issues.
  • Proactively researching and resolving billing issues and ensuring job margins meet expectations.
  • Performing collections activities, including follow-ups, payment plans, invoice credits, and bad debt management.
  • Collecting accounts receivable for assigned customers and providing customer service for collection issues.
  • Processing and reviewing account adjustments, requesting vendor credits, and resolving customer discrepancies.
  • Monitoring and maintaining customer accounts, performing account adjustments, small balance write-offs, and reconciliations.
  • Reducing account delinquency, identifying trends and root causes, escalating issues, and assisting with accounting reports.
  • Acting as a backup for billing and collections staff, creating custom invoices for international shipping, and managing credit card and ACH payments.
  • Training new employees, writing procedures, monitoring customer creditworthiness, and using a 3rd party EDI system for invoicing.

Qualifications
  • 2 years' experience in AR, with an emphasis on billing and collections
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
