Piper Companies is actively seeking a Facilities Technician to join a state of the art manufacturing facility in Wilson, North Carolina. This organization leverages groundbreaking biotechnology to cultivate sustainable, high-quality food products. The Facilities Technician will support the operation & maintenance of systems and equipment at the site. This is a full time (FTE) opportunity with full benefits.

Responsibilities of the Facilities Technician:

Perform regular equipment and process inspections to help build out how the plant will tackle the preventative maintenance schedule Support the operation and maintenance of refrigeration systems, perform inspections to prevent leaks and ensure system integrity Assist with building repairs including electrical and structural componentsPerform regular safety audits and follow best safety practicesPerform quality work and take initiative to develop expertise within multiple systems

Qualifications of the Facilities Technician:

Experience in facilities maintenance, ideally in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration (NH3) systems and/or RETA certificationsEntry or intermediate experience in HVAC systems, no certification required

Compensation of the Facilities Technician:

$30 - 45/hr., depending on relevant years of industry experience and ammonia experience or certifications Full benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO, Paid Holidays
