Maintains supplies, instruments, and equipment and provides assistance with the care of perioperative surgical patients. Essential Functions Gathers, sets up and breaks down equipment, instruments, and supplies. Assists with non-professional patient care functions before, during, and after procedures. Maintains surgical instrumentation in functional status. Maintains inventories, equipment, and work areas. Performs intra-procedure duties and functions. Minimum Education Required Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required Two years of college is preferred Completion of an approved Surgical Technology program is required. Required Skills Required Skills: - Ability to understand, communicate, and react effectively to patient and family needs - Excellent customer service skills - Critical thinking - Work well under pressure while keeping calm and remaining customer-focused.
