Adjunct Faculty

Moraine Park Technical College is establishing a candidate pool for potential part-time Adjunct Faculty positions in Manufacturing and Integrated Technology at the Beaver Dam, Fond du Lac, and West Bend campuses. These positions encompass CNC Tool and Die, Electromechanical Technology, Fabrication Technologies, IT Network Specialist, IT Technical Support Specialist, Mechanical Design Technology, Quality and Advanced Manufacturing Technology, and Welding. Individuals must be residents of Wisconsin, Florida, or Arizona in order to be considered for employment as Adjunct Faculty at Moraine Park Technical College.
The roles of Adjunct Faculty are part-time positions with flexible class assignments and varying locations each term. The adjunct faculty instructor may be assigned to teach at different sites within the Moraine Park District, including campuses, centers, and business locations. There is a possibility of teaching during evenings, weekends, and online sessions. Reporting directly to the Associate Dean of Trades and Apprenticeships, this individual plays a key role in delivering quality education within the district.
The candidate pool will be open from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025. Job Qualifications:
For CNC Tool and Die Technologies: No degree required. Must have a Certificate of Apprenticeship from the Wisconsin Bureau of Apprenticeship Standards (BAS) OR a federally registered program for faculty instructing apprenticeship courses. Experience required in the content area being taught.For Electromechanical Technology: Associate Degree. Experience required in the content area being taught.For Fabrication Technologies: Associate Degree. Upon hire, candidate must be able to form certifiable welds in the following processes: FCAW, SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW. Experience required in the content area being taught.For IT Network Specialist: Associate Degree. Current CompTIA Network+ Certification preferred. Experience required in the content area being taught.For IT Technical Support Specialist: Associate Degree. Current CompTIA A+ Certification preferred. Experience required in the content area being taught.For Mechanical Design Technology: Bachelor's Degree. Experience required in the content area being taught.For Quality and Advanced Manufacturing Technology: Associate Degree. The following certifications are preferred: Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), Certified Manufacturing Engineering, American Society for Quality (ASQ), Certified Quality Technician, Certified Quality Engineer, or Manufacturing Skills Standards Certification (MSSC). Experience required in the content area being taught.For Welding: Technical Diploma. American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and/or Certified Welding Educator (CEW), preferred. Experience required in the content area being taught.PT Faculty Occupational Experience Standards. Two (2) years (4,000 hours) of paid work experience related to the program(s) being taught, including one (1) year (2,000 hours) of related paid work experience that has been acquired within the past five (5) years. In lieu of this one (1) year (2,000 hours) of recent experience, two (2) years of postsecondary teaching experience in the appropriate occupational field within the past five (5) years may be considered. (Two (2) years of post-secondary teaching experience means eight (8) semesters of part-time teaching or four (4) semesters of full-time teaching at an accredited institution.)
Job Description:

Experience with the MS Office Suite, the internet, and email. Ability and willingness to learn new technologies. Experience with online learning platforms and student management systems preferred.Ability and willingness to continuously learn and accept constructive feedback.Strong organizational and time management skills. Must be able to manage time and schedule effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills.Previous community involvement and a desire to give back to the profession and community.Must meet Faculty Quality Assurance System requirements as detailed in Chapter TCS 3 of the Wisconsin Administrative Code.-
