Position Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Lynn Haven, Florida

We are currently seeking a talented and empathetic Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team and contribute to the success of our students.

Job Summary: The Speech-Language Pathologist will assess, diagnose, and treat students with various speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. The SLP will work in close collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals to craft and execute individualized education plans (IEPs) that address each student's unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed assessments and evaluations of students' speech and language capabilities.
  • Create and implement personalized treatment plans and IEPs based on assessment data.
  • Deliver direct therapeutic services to students with identified speech and language disorders.
  • Work with educators, parents, and school staff to support and enhance students' communication abilities.
  • Track and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as required.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, offering valuable insights into student progress and objectives.
  • Provide guidance and training to teachers and parents on effective strategies for supporting speech and language development.
  • Remain up-to-date with the latest advancements and best practices in speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Current Speech-Language Pathologist licensure in Florida.
  • Certification from the Florida Department of Education as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Preferred: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a school setting with children.
  • Strong understanding of speech and language development and disorders.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
