JOB SUMMARY

ATC Healthcare is hiring Full Time and Contract Speech Language Pathologists. A Speech Language Pathologist  is a qualified professional who provides clinical speech language pathology services for patients in various settings. The Speech Language Pathologist provides services in collaboration with physicians, patients, families, significant others, and other team members. Speech Language Pathology and therapy is provided as authorized by the applicable state scope of practice regulations.

EDUCATION OF THE SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology by accredited program.

LICENSURE OF THE SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST 

Current and unrestricted state licensure as required by the state of practice.

EXPERIENCE OF THE SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST 

At least one year of speech language pathology experience with the geriatric population.

CREDENTIALS OF TH SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST 

Current CPR as required by client facility; other health and screening tests as required by specific facilities and/or regulatory agencies.

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS OF THE SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST 

Geriatric Rehabilitation Setting; possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other potentially infectious materials.

SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complies with ATC policies/procedures.
  • Complies with client facility policies/procedures.
  • Documents accurately and completely services provided.
  • Initiates emergency measures according to client protocols.
  • Maintains confidentiality relative to patient care and facility practices in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
  • Provides patient care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that considers cultural diversity and age appropriateness so that autonomy, rights, and dignity are preserved.
  • Communicates information effectively to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintains competency by participating in continuing education programs and meets state specific requirements as applicable.
  • Educates patient/others with respect to therapeutic exercises, activities, and equipment.
  • Provides assessment, treatment, and evaluation of speech and language therapy patients in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Knowledge of equipment and instruments used in daily activities.
  • Knowledge of rehabilitative treatment techniques used in the treatment of multiple age groups.
  • Knowledge of oral motor techniques.
  • Knowledge of administering and evaluating a variety of standardized assessments.
  • Orders, provides, and evaluates durable medical equipment/devices based on needs of patient.
  • Provides services and consultation with ultimate goal being achievement of fullest rehabilitative potential of patient.
  • Knowledge of various billing mechanisms (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid).

Monday-Friday Or Tuesday-Saturday , 9am-5pm or 8am to 4pm
