Job Description: Soliant Education is seeking a compassionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to join our team in Waukegan, IL. This full-time position is for the upcoming school year, starting August 12, 2024, and ending June 2, 2025. The role involves working with early childhood students aged 3 to 5 years in a supportive and nurturing classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Create engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for young children with diverse needs.
  • Collaborate with parents, general education teachers, and other specialists to ensure a comprehensive support system.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, making adjustments to instructional methods as necessary.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment to support the emotional and educational growth of each child.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) in Special Education.
  • Experience working with early childhood populations (ages 3-5) is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
