Key Responsibilities:
The Classroom Teacher will work under the guidance of the building principal, overseeing all aspects of the educational process. Responsibilities include:
  1. Designing personalized instructional strategies tailored to the diverse needs and learning styles of each student.
  2. Implementing the established curriculum effectively.
  3. Creating developmental programs with clear behavioral objectives for student growth.
  4. Fostering a student-centered classroom environment that applies sound educational practices.
  5. Utilizing innovative teaching methods and a variety of resources to enhance learning.
  6. Building strong relationships with students to understand their unique characteristics and challenges.
  7. Monitoring and reporting student attendance and engagement.
  8. Maintaining current lesson plans and schedules for classroom activities.
  9. Communicating student progress to parents using designated reporting methods.
  10. Participating in professional development opportunities and collaborating with the building principal.
  11. Engaging with parents or guardians to support student learning.
  12. Utilizing support staff in accordance with their roles and responsibilities.
  13. Performing additional professional duties as assigned by the building principal.
Qualifications: Candidates must possess a valid Illinois Professional Educators License. Prior teaching experience at the specified grade level within the last five years is preferred.
