KBR is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Sustainment and Operations Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the sustainment and operational support of a multi-tier architecture, providing data transport management services for Naval Aviation Command, and supporting an integrated data environment for Naval Aviation, Naval Sea Systems, Marine Corps and Army Aviation and Ground programs. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

**US Citizenship & Clearance Required.**

Workplace Setting: This position offers a flexible remote work environment remote 95% of the time.

Travel: This position may require travel- less than 10%.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of IT professionals to provide sustainment and operational support for IT systems. Ensure the availability, performance, and security of IT infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement IT sustainment and operations strategies and plans. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime. Coordinate with other teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless IT operations.
  • Maintain documentation and provide regular reports on system performance and issues. Ensure compliance with government regulations and security standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.

Basic Qualifications:

Clearance & Citizenship: Must be a US citizen. Top Secret Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Additional 8 years of experience in lieu of BS/BA degree (for those with high school diplomas). Additional 4 years of experience for those with AA/AS degree.

Experience: Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security. Proven leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education: Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Certification: Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or CISSP.

Experience: Experience with government IT systems and regulations.
