Job Title:Behavioral Support SpecialistDepartment:Health Sciences | Nisonger Center

Behavioral Support Specialist to provide behavior support services to children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities within the Nisonger Center; performs functional behavior assessments and analysis; trains family members and staff at community agencies in data collection and implementation of plans; works with school, residential, day program staff and families to develop behavior support plans; presents plans for approval to appropriate review committees and revises as necessary; prepares billing statements; documents individual progress and prepares reports.


Minimum Education Required
Master's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Major in applied behavior analysis, psychology or social work


Required Qualifications
Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Social Work, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education & experience required; certification and/or licensure in area of clinical specialty required (BCBA, LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC etc.) or 3 years of additional experience passed required experience if no licensure; 3-5+ years of experience working with persons with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities required; 3-5+ years’ experience conducting functional behavior analysis and intervention required; experience working with persons with developmental disabilities required; experience conducting functional behavior analysis and intervention preferred. Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
