Overview

The Community Outreach Coordinator of a store location focuses on building relationships within our current running community as well as reaching new running and fitness communities in our surrounding area. This position supports store leadership in retaining our customer base, achieving sales objectives, and acquiring new customers. This position allows you to work collaboratively with Store Management and Staff, various departments of the Fleet Feet Store Support Team, and the local community. The person in this role is also expected to work on the floor fitting customers on a regular basis in order to maintain a connection to the customer experience, to receive feedback from customers directly, and to partner with colleagues to market upcoming events.

Responsibilities

Marketing and Outreach

  • Regularly collaborate with regional Marketing point of contact from Fleet Feet Store Support Team to ensure alignment with broader company objectivesRegularly work floor shifts and serve customers using the most current Fleet Feet outfitting experiencePassion for Fleet Feet’s mission and the ability to effectively communicate the value that Fleet Feet adds to the communityFlexible and adaptable; Ability to work a flexible schedule which can include weekends and some holidaysConnections to the local community

Additional Requirements - Hours of work for this position are approximately 40+ hours per week. Position requires moving around for periods of 2-4 hours without a rest break, and task sequencing and the completion of complex administrative responsibilities. Occasional moderate to heavy (10-25+lb) lifting and carrying, bending and reaching overhead may be required. Work environment includes substantial communication with customers, working in a retail environment with product displays and stockroom with inventory, and potentially slippery surfaces. Position is under minimum levels of day-to-day supervision. Some travel may be required for meetings, training or conferences.
