Accounting Specialist Construction Industry / Nashville, TN 37210 / Fully On-Site Monday-Friday Temporary to Hire / $25.00 per hour / Private Free Parking Available Our client, a leader in the commercial real estate and development industry, is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join their team. This role will focus on managing day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, job costing, and financial reporting, while ensuring compliance with industry standards. Tasks / Responsibilities - Accounting Specialist: Record journal entries Review, code, and process incoming vendor invoices and subcontractor payments Resolve vendor statement discrepancies when necessary Set-up and maintain vendor records Assist w/ 1099 processing Assist with reconciliations Assist with maintaining general ledger Assist with monthly and year-end closing activities Support accounting team in various areas Record construction job cost allocations Assist in fixed asset tracking and depreciation schedules Assist w/ documentation and reports Maintaining certs and licenses for subcontractors Collaborate with project manager and internal teams to ensure proper cost coding Qualifications - Accounting Specialist: 1-2 years recent accounting experience in construction required Experience w/ CMiC Software highly preferred Basic GAAP knowledge Strong Attention to Detail Skills Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills Construction / Real Estate Experience highly preferred Knowledge of subcontractor billing preferred #INNOV2025#ZRCFS
