Job Title: School Occupational Therapist (OT)

Location: Brentwood, NY and Surrounding Areas

Soliant Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team and make a difference in the lives of students in Brentwood, NY, and the surrounding areas. As a School Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work in a supportive educational environment and help students reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to evaluate students' motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' needs and promote independence.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in individual or group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' academic and social success.
  • Monitor students' progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and document interventions.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of students' educational goals.

Requirements:

  • Valid New York state license as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) or related field.
  • Experience working with school-aged children is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles, techniques, and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
