Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. This full-time contractor position is based in Brentwood, CA, and offers an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive educational environment, helping students achieve their communication goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the assessment and treatment of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
  • Implement speech and language programs or activities as planned and directed by the SLP.
  • Document student progress towards meeting established goals and objectives.
  • Prepare materials and assist with other clerical duties as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information.
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents regarding student progress and needs.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education plans (IEPs).

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or related field.
  • Valid SLPA license in the state of California.
  • Previous experience working as an SLPA in a school setting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Passionate about working with children and helping them succeed.
