Take charge of ourday-to-day operations, so we remain the trusted source for aviationrepair and maintenance. Work with your team to implement the rightprocesses and practices across our organization to help ensureflight and productefficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Removes and reinstalls engines from turbofan andturboprop powered aircraft.
  • Responsible forusing sound judgment and technical aptitude to make decisionsregarding maintenance, sequence, and techniques, troubleshootingand discrepancy resolution.
  • Performsoperational checks and engine runs to ensure air-worthiness priorto departure.
  • Inspects aircraft in accordancewith OEM Light or Heavy Maintenance Manuals
  • Evaluates removed components for serviceability anddocuments discrepancies (squawks). Reinstalls and tests componentsafter completed inspection.
  • Troubleshoots andrepairs all airframe systems as required (hydraulics, landing gear,etc.).
  • May perform fuel tank sealing onaircraft.
  • Documents all work accomplished (akasign-off) in a clear, concise and accurate manner.
  • Accomplishes Service Bulletins, Repair Letters, andAirworthiness Directives as required.
  • Readsand interprets maintenance manual procedures, blueprints, technicalmanuals, and schematic diagrams when required.
  • Responsible for knowing, understanding, following,promoting, and continuously improving company policies andprocedures.
  • Analyzes a variety of mechanicalproblems and determines the cause and best method ofrepair.
  • Tests operation and repairs/adjusts,as required: engines, engine controls and accessories, propellersand controls, landing gear, hydraulic systems and servicing, andflight controls, and adjusts rigging as required.
  • Checks and repairs fuel, oil, oxygen, heating, coolingand pressurization systems.
  • Utilizes mechanicshand tools, precision measuring instruments, gauges and calibrationtest equipment.
  • Observes all safety,environmental and general housekeeping rules andpolicies.
  • May perform other duties as requiredby thedepartment.


Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A validFAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License isrequired.
  • Minimum 3 years corporate aviationexperience onLearjet.


EligibilityRequirements:

  • Must have proven mechanical and technicalaptitude.
  • Must be authorized to work in theU.S.
  • Must have proven experience using avariety of hand and/or power tools.
  • Must beable to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strongcommunication skills required, both verbal and written.
  • Must be available to work overtime and weekends asneeded.
  • Must be able to work outside inextremes of temperature and inclement weather.
  • Must have the ability to think clearly, speakintelligibly on the telephone and in person.
  • Must have the ability to manipulate equipment of allsizes, tools, computer keyboards, and telephones.
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to stand on hard surfaces for long periodsof time.
  • Must be able to see to disassembleand visually inspect.
  • Must be able to hear todetect the sources of problems.
  • Must haveexcellent hand-to-eye coordination.
  • Must havea history of demonstrating high levels of initiative in completingall job assignments and clearly following directions.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (8+hours), lift 50 pounds unassisted, walk, bend, stretch, and climbladders to serviceaircraft.


PreferredCharacteristics

  • Aviation training preferred. This training may take theform of military training, aeronautical academy or technical schooltraining and/or an Aviation Associates Degree.
  • Factory authorized training on assigned aircraft orengines ispreferred.
