Lead Respiratory Therapist

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Supports the supervision of shift activities,and acts as the expert during his or her assigned shift. Dutiesinclude daily support of staffing and assignments, providingresource support, supporting preceptor tasks, and fulfillingassigned patient care workload. Serves as a role model andadvocates a highly efficient, accountable and collaborative teamenvironment between staff and with physicians. Delivers the higheststandards of patient safety and quality ofcare.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATIONREQUIRED:
Requires an Associates Degree inRespiratory Therapy Sciences.
MINIMUMEXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum of two yearsclinical experience in respiratory care. Current BCLS, ACLS and NRPcertifications required. Proficient in all patient care settings(i.e., adult ICU, NICU). If limited NICU experience, able to rampup basic skill set (i.e., delivery support, blood gases, equipmentsetup) within a definedtimeframe.
MINIMUMLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Is aRegistered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board forRespiratory Care (NBRC); has and maintains a current licensure as aRespiratory Care Professional in the state ofGeorgia.
