Job Description:

Soliant Health is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Smyrna, DE, for the 2024-2025 academic year. This role involves working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade, providing essential support to the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in improving students' communication skills and enhancing their academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Evaluations: Support the SLP in conducting assessments by gathering data, administering screenings, and helping with clinical observations to identify students' speech and language needs.
  • Implement Therapy Plans: Work under the supervision of the SLP to deliver therapy sessions tailored to students' individualized plans, addressing communication disorders such as articulation, fluency, and social communication.
  • Collaborative Support: Collaborate with educators, parents, and specialists as directed by the SLP to create a positive and effective learning environment.
  • Record Keeping: Help maintain accurate records of student progress, updating the SLP and adjusting therapy activities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Licensing: Must hold or be eligible for a Delaware State SLPA license.
  • Experience: School-based experience is a plus but not mandatory. A commitment to helping students succeed is essential.
  • Certification: ASHA certification for SLPAs is preferred but not required.
