Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Middle School Science Teacher to join our team in Florence, SC. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about science education, dedicated to fostering a supportive and engaging classroom environment, and committed to helping students achieve academic success.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement science curriculum that aligns with state standards.
  • Create engaging and interactive lesson plans that promote active learning.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to different learning styles.
  • Establish clear objectives for all lessons and communicate these goals to students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and classroom activities.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers, staff, and administration to promote a cohesive and supportive educational experience.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in science education.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Science Education, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field.
  • Valid South Carolina teaching certification in Middle School Science.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and build strong relationships with students and their families.
  • Passion for science and a commitment to inspiring a love of learning in students.
