Position Overview:
As a Special Education Teacher with Soliant Education, you will work directly with elementary students who have a range of special needs. You will be responsible for creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), delivering tailored instruction, and fostering a supportive classroom environment. Your role will be instrumental in helping students achieve their full potential and succeed academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
  • Provide specialized instruction and support to elementary students with diverse learning needs.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, adjusting instructional methods as necessary.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' success.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and learning.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to educational planning and decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid Special Education Teaching License in the state of Illinois.
  • Experience working with elementary students with special needs is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and support staff.
