The Ideal candidate will have experience working with both US and Canadian Payroll, as well as experience with benefits and Tax.
The Payroll Specialist will work closely with HR Business Partners, Managers, Service Delivery team (Payroll, Benefits and operations), Finance and vendors, and will be responsible for supporting the Payroll team in monitoring timely and accurate processing of payroll & Taxes, resolution of Tax issues and, reconciliation of payroll accounts for North America (US & Canada).
Job Details for Payroll Specialist: 
  • Schedule: Monday- Friday normal business hours
  • Temp with potential for perm 
  • Pay Range:$50-60 per hour 

Responsibilities for  Payroll Specialist:
  • Ensure that US and Canada payrolls, 2600+ employees (salary, tax, time & attendance) are processed timely & accurately by the payroll vendor, and a compliant manner.
  •  Follow-up with government and external Service provider on Tax notices.
  • Analyze payroll & tax issues and recommend corrective actions. Support Finance in resolving Payroll related Finance issues.
  • Responsible for working with external Service Provider in validation & review of payroll for Expatriates and Stock Option processing
  • Responsible for year-end testing, timely and accurate issue of W2s.
  • Works closely with payroll service provider and team in identifying need for system revisions, formulating configuration requests, testing and validation

Requirements for Payroll Specialist: 
  • 7 or more years of experience in US and Canadian Payroll
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies and processes
  • Exceptional adherence to detail, efficiency and accuracy.
  • Good reporting analytics skills with sound knowledge of MS-Office
