Position Details:

  • Contract Term: Full-time, School Year 2024-2025
  • Start Date: August 2024
  • End Date: June 2025

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students' skills to determine their needs and to develop appropriate occupational therapy treatment plans
  • Help children participate fully in school and social situations
  • Assist children with disabilities to develop necessary skills for everyday life
  • Adapt classroom environments to promote learning for all students
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to incorporate occupational therapy recommendations into daily routines and educational plans
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of students' therapy, progress, and outcomes
  • Provide guidance and education to school staff and families to support the integration of occupational therapy strategies at school and at home

Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
  • Valid state OT license (or eligibility to obtain licensure before the start date)
  • Experience in pediatric or school-based occupational therapy preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
