School-based Occupational Therapist, Dover DE

Calling on entry level or mid-career Occupational Therapists, seeking an opportunity to work in a school setting Soliant has partnered with a small school district about 25 minutes from Dover, DE, and is seeking a contract Occupational Therapist for the remainder of the school year.
This is a school district with a very close-knit team of 1 other OT, and 2 COTAs. The 2 COTAs are highly experienced with therapy in the District, and well-versed in all District processes.
Scope of responsibilities:
- Evaluating new referrals and re-evaluating current students receiving OT services
- Developing IEP goals and writing reports for all stakeholders
- Consulting with interdisciplinary team on supporting education goals through OT interventions
- Attending IEP meetings
- Direct therapy
The hiring team is able to work with both entry level and mid-career OTs. We seek candidates who are:
- Familiar with Special Education procedures and the role of Occupational Therapy in education settings
- Excellent communicators
- Flexible and team-oriented
- Professional and accountable
