Assistant Branch Manager FULL-TIME

$32/hr

This is a salaried role starting at $66,560 - $72k,depending on experience.

The Assistant BranchManager reports directly to the Branch Manager and has the overallresponsibility for ensuring operations in the warehouse is beingmaintained in accordance with company policy and guidelines.

In addition, the Assistant Manager will beresponsible for the entire operations of the warehouse in theabsence of the Branch Manager. Depending on the size and volume ofthe warehouse, a warehouse may utilize one or two Assistants.

The duties of the Assistant include overseeingmajor departments in the warehouse; front end, receiving,perishables area, dry goods floor, equipment and small-wares,reception, inventory control & cash room. In addition, BranchAssistants may also oversee administrative functions,merchandising, safety issues, HACCP, in-store audits, physicalinventory preparation, as well as participating in external storeaudits for the company.

The Assistant BranchManager provides leadership and guidance to all store employees anddepartment Managers and ensures he/she is communicating allpertinent issues to the Branch Manager. The Assistant Managershould also provide continuous feedback to employees to ensureoptimum productivity and that customer service/satisfaction isalways at its peak.

Qualifications
  • Must pass drug screen
  • Must passbackground check
  • Can lift 50 lbs
  • Must be at least 18+ years old
Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not required), Minimum 4 years ofmanagement experience in food service or grocery distribution in asupermarket, club warehouse, big box or mass merchandisingenvironment. Background in P&L, Inventory control,merchandising, hiring / training staff, front end, merchandising,cash control, payroll, security/loss prevention mandatory. Strongleadership skills, capable of running a high volume warehouseoperation. Must have excellent communication, organizational andpeople management/training skills and be extremely customer serviceoriented. Commitment to company values and strong customerorientation.
