Accounts Payable Specialist

- A Background check and drug screen is required and drug screen
- Candidate must take annual Flu Shot or apply for an exemption
- Identify root causes of invoice miss-matches, coordinate resolution with procurement.
- Coordinate vendor resubmission / correction of invoices, correction of miss-postings and end to end resolution of the documents on hold
- Reviews documents that require coding support
- Performs research with sites and suppliers as needed to determine the appropriate coding for the document
- Confirms allocation accounting and methods as needed for non-PO invoices and update reference material as needed for future documents
- Maintains a strong working knowledge of the chart of accounts
- Performs day to day OCR / ICR document reviews
- Updates Oracle to reflect invoice documents accurately
- Reviews when OCR/ICR cannot read enough data to accurately post an invoice, and conducts preliminary research with coding references to support processing the document
- Reviews if the document cannot be posted, and codes the document for follow-up with the appropriate resolution reason code
- Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, patients, contractors, and vendors.
- HS Diploma with 2 years of Accounts Payable and/or accounting experience working in Supply Chain or Healthcare
- Experience with Oracle strongly preferred
- Experience working in healthcare strongly preferred
