We are seeking an emerging, or experienced, Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineer that will be responsible for developing and analyzing GNC algorithms using various simulations.

What You Will Be Doing

The GNC Engineer must have experience designing closed-loop control systems.

The GNC Engineer will develop and test 6-DOF simulation models and algorithms.

The GNC Engineer will contribute to the development and performance assessment of the Integrated Flight Simulation (IFS).

The GNC Engineer must have C/C++ and MATLAB programming experience.

This role will require onsite support full-time at Lockheed Martin's Missiles and Fire Control headquarters in Grand Prairie, TX working a 4/10 Flex schedule.

**This position requires a current DoD Secret clearance, therefore, U.S. citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:
Candidate must demonstrate the ability to perform some combination of the following Modeling and Simulation (M&S) assignments:

Demonstrate the ability to design a high-fidelity system simulation capable of predicting system pre-deployment performance.

Perform modeling and simulation tasks for hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL), and 6DOF Integrated Flight simulations (IFS).

Perform modeling and simulation tasks for system survivability, Safety of Flight (SOF), and end-to-end battle management systems (BMS).

Integrate guidance, navigation and autopilot algorithms into a high-fidelity IFS.

Perform trade studies and simulation analyses with the objective of enhancing and optimizing system performance capability.

Demonstrate capability with both IR and RF threat modeling.

Demonstrate capability with both IR and RF threat modeling.

Demonstrate mastery of C++, MATLAB, Simulink.

**Must have an active final secret clearance to start.
Desired Skills:
Prior experience with threat modeling.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
