Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, evaluate, and modify end-to-end systems and products throughout their life cycle.
  • Generate quantifiable requirements based on customer descriptions, system planning, and acquisition logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements and government standards through formal verification methods.
  • Translate high-level product development strategies into system requirement specifications.
  • Work with other engineering disciplines to develop detailed implementation requirements.
  • Establish and coordinate development of standards, practices, and procedures for product development.

Systems Integration:

  • Design interfaces and integrate system elements to work as a whole.
  • Assess performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures.

Customer and Business Development:

  • Act as a customer liaison and support business development activities.

  • Participate in system conceptual design and document design concepts.

Requirements Management:

Program Description

This program provides SETA (Systems Engineering Technical Advisor) & SE&I (Systems Engineering & Integration) services to an IC customer with a focus on assured space communications and supporting IT infrastructure.

Specific Job Description

This systems engineering position supports the Engineering Division and is responsible for assisting the government in a wide range of engineering functions including working enterprise, systems and program architectures, developing technology roadmaps and leading projects for defining and integrating new capabilities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Become subject matter experts in systems architectures.
  • Advise government clients on acquisition-related decisions.
  • Create and maintain systems architecture views.
  • Assess architectures to streamline mission processing and increase resiliency.
  • Conduct technical trade studies and evaluations.

Contract Support:

  • Assist in developing Statements of Work

Qualifications

Required:

  • Relevant Experience: 5 to 7 years with BS or 3 to 5 years with MS or 2 to 3 years with a PhD
  • Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with Poly.
  • Experience with systems engineering processes and systems architecture development and analysis.
  • The ability to work well within a team of engineers.
  • Demonstrated success in working with government customers.

 Desired:

  •  BS in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Computer Science.
  • 3-5 years of experience with Commercial/Government acquisition of satellite/ground segment hardware/software
  • 3-5 years of experience with systems engineering processes and systems architecture development and analysis.
  • Prior experience leading technical projects involving multiple organizations, SE products development, schedule & risk management and customer coordination.
  • Prior experience as a SETA with IC customer
  • Work with requirements and other related systems engineering processes.
  • Prior experience with RF based satellite communications.
  • Prior experience with digital signal processing.
