Introduction:

 

Cyrten is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Specialist/Application Tester for an (IC) client to work on a federated search and discovery software system in an AWS environment. The role involves creating and maintaining an automated test environment, testing web applications and APIs, and utilizing tracking systems. This position is in McLean, VA, and requires an active TS/SCI full-scope polygraph clearance.

 

  • Creating and maintaining an automated test environment in AWS using Selenium.
  • Test-developed features and enhancements to web applications, APIs, and web services.
  • Utilizing a tracking system to track all tasks and user stories.

 

Role:

 

  • Automated testing processes/API Testing - Selenium, SoapUI.
  • Working within an Agile Scrum team environment.
  • Working within a cloud environment, specifically AWS.
  • Utilizing the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Performing requirements analysis.
  • Creating and maintaining an automated test environment using technologies such as Selenium, Junit, and Mockito.
  • Testing APIs and applications.
  • Utilizing scripting languages such as Java and JavaScript.
  • Using team collaboration tools such as Confluence or similar.
  • Using issue tracking applications such as Jira (preferred) or similar.

 

Nice to Have:

 

  • Demonstrated experience supporting Enterprise software development efforts.

 

Education:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business, Information Management Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Note that years of experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.
