Job Description:

Are you a dynamic and passionate High School Science Teacher seeking a rewarding opportunity in Colorado Springs, CO? Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive and innovative science curriculum aligned with state standards and district expectations.
  • Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages inquiry, critical thinking, and scientific discovery.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technologies to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Design and conduct laboratory experiments and investigations that promote hands-on learning and application of scientific principles.
  • Assess student understanding and progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support growth and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate cross-curricular connections and promote interdisciplinary learning experiences.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and stakeholders regarding student progress, performance, and academic goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Valid Colorado teaching license with endorsement in secondary science or eligibility for licensure.
  • Strong content knowledge in one or more science disciplines (e.g., biology, chemistry, physics).
  • Passion for science education and commitment to fostering student curiosity and inquiry.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
