Aircraft Mechanic, C-130 APG/AR

You will be an Aircraft Mechanic working as part of the Collocated Maintenance Team (CMT) at Hurlburt Field, Florida. Our team performs letter check inspections for Air force Special Operations Command's fleet of heavily modified C-130 aircraft. Your efforts will help ensure that our warfighters have the necessary tools and equipment to deter our adversaries or if required, bring the tip of the spear to them.

As an Aircraft Mechanic, your duties will include:
• Troubleshoot malfunctions rigs, repairs and modifies aircraft structure, structural components and aircraft systems, maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneumatic, fuel system, ventilation, heating and cooling systems and mechanical components, applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies required expertise in restoring equipment condition and or operation; applies technical knowledge to solve moderate problems.
• Read and interpret manufacturers' and airlines' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:
Individual must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical components with the ability to troubleshooting, adjust, repair and replace parts/components; requires broad working knowledge of C- 130 aircraft systems to include hydraulics, structures, engines and electrical systems.

Mechanic must have basic knowledge of electrical theory and thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, and dial indicators, micrometers and support equipment, powered and non-powered.

This mechanic must be proficient in the documentation of AFTO 781forms, Integrated Maintenance Information System (IMIS) and Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS). Incumbent must be able to prioritize workload to maintain ISO schedule requirements.

Ability to troubleshoot engine malfunctions, adjust, repair, or replace electrical system wiring and aircraft accessories; perform preflight, thru-flight, and basic post-flight maintenance inspections, perform as Refuel/Defuel, Jack and Tow Team Supervisor. Individual will also be required to perform other miscellaneous aircraft servicing to include, but not limited to Lox, Hydraulic and Engine Oil, service aircraft tire and perform aircraft lubes.

Mechanic must also be proficient at all tasks required to launch and recover C-130 aircraft.

Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance, therefore all candidates must be a US Citizen.
Desired Skills:
Eight (8) years of experience on C-130 aircraft as a 2ASX1
Performed as 7-Level Aircraft Mechanic or equivalent
Advanced Systems School
Basic C-130J aircraft system knowledge
Ability and desire to perform on­ aircraft engine runs (if required) to determine engine performance.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
