About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Technician to join our team at Lockheed Martin. As an Aircraft Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions in aircraft engines, auxiliary power units, and anti-icing and heating systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in aircraft engines, auxiliary power units, and anti-icing and heating systems.
  • Perform 100-hour, progressive, isochronal, phase, periodic, and other hourly or calendar inspections.
  • Inspect jet engine turbine blades to detect cracks, distortion, corrosion, burn-out, security, or breaks.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace electrical wiring systems and aircraft accessories.
  • Perform preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, including flushing crankcase, cleaning screens and filters, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes.
Requirements
  • Four (4) years of experience on C-130 aircraft, AE2100D3 engine, and R391 Dowty propeller repairs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and/or repair malfunctions in the aircraft engine, auxiliary power unit, anti-icing and heating systems.
  • Ability to perform on-aircraft engine runs (if required).
  • Ability to perform all inspections, adjustments, alignments, rigging, and calibration of engine torques and related propeller components.
  • Ability to inspect engines and APUs to determine and maintain serviceability.
  • Knowledge of aircraft fuel and mechanical principles applicable to aircraft fuel systems.
  • Possess competent abilities in the use and application of hand tools, power tools, machines, work stands, support equipment, and special tools/calibrated test equipment.
  • Possess the ability to read and interpret Air Force maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, diagrams, schematics, and other specifications.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
