Fabricatesand assembles structural metal products such as framework or shellsfor machinery, ovens, tanks, and other machines with stainlesssteel for the food industry by layout and plans sequence ofoperations according to mechanical drawings and written and verbalinstructions. Accountabilities:

  • Performduties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor, MaintenanceManager, or their designee.
  • Assist or performpreventive maintenance on equipment to maintain it in good workingcondition. Be active in preventative maintenance programs,daily plant fundamentals, and all safety procedures. Handlesmaintenance emergencies as necessary.
  • Musthave knowledge of electrical installation. Required to troubleshootPLC, VFD, and 3-phase electrical. Able to troubleshoot and repairlighting circuits.
  • Assist with or perform thetroubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of electrical,mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and plumbingsystems.
  • Assist with or perform thetroubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of the heating,ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment(HVAC/R).
  • Assist with or perform majorequipment overhauls.
  • Demonstrated mechanicaland spatial aptitude, including the ability to disassemble andreassemble equipment.
  • Ability to read andinterpret shop/engineering drawings.
  • 3 years’experience in a food manufacturing environment requiring knowledgeof Tig welding, and Mig/Mag welding.  Able to discerncorrect welding applications.
  • Maintaininterior and exterior of the buildings, install light bulbs, paintinterior or exterior, make roof repairs, etc.  Construct anddemolish walls, and perform other carpentry duties.
  • Demonstrated ability to use SAP EAM. Maintains records inaccordance with Aspire Bakeries policy.
  • Completes duties in accordance with quality assurance,GMPs, safety, and other company programs and procedures, and inaccordance with government codes and regulations.
  • Demonstrated adherence to FDA regulations, GoodManufacturing Practices(GMPs), OSHA standards, HACCP, and sanitaryprocesses/procedures.
  • Responsible for keepingthe work area clean and tidy at all times and reporting anypotential contamination and suspicious activityimmediately.
  • Keeps abreast of the latestmanufacturing technologies and systems and engineeringconcepts.
  • Overtime hours may be required basedon work demands.  Employees must be flexible with thesehours.

Qualifications: 

  • A highschool diploma or GED is required.
  • A technicalcertificate in HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, and/orplumbing repair is required.
  • Experienceworking in a maintenance department, preferably in an automatedfood processing plant.
  • Knowledge of equipmentset-up, functions, operating procedures, and preventativemaintenance techniques.
  • Basic knowledge ofprogrammable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred.
  • Other skills and experiences could be refrigeration,plumbing, industrial electrical and mechanical systems andmaintenance, and automated food manufacturing process controls andequipment
  • Ability to read and interpret workorders, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions.
  • Required to read blueprints, logs, and electricaldrawings.  Ability to complete forms detailing maintenancework performed.
  • Working knowledge of spokenSpanish is preferred.

HourlyRate: $33.00 - $35.00
