- Conduct visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machines to identify potential issues.
- Operate shut-off valves and equipment to ensure safe and efficient maintenance.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts as needed.
- Communicate effectively with guests, colleagues, and management to resolve maintenance issues.
- Display proficiency in multiple categories, including air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing.
- Use safe work practices and follow company policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 2 years of experience in hotel engineering or maintenance.
- Valid driver's license and Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, and painting.
- Supervisory experience is not required.
