Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide engineering and project management support for Kennedy Space Center. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities

  • Perform frequent walkdowns of project sites providing engineering and project management expertise to ensure projects are completed on-time and within budget.
  • Coordinate project meetings with stakeholders.
  • Ensure NASA customers are updated with project status and changes.
  • Create project documentation for consumption at high-level, senior staff meetings.
  • Interface with other contractors during development and integration of project plans and associated requirements documents.
  • Ensure execution of project plans are in accordance with requirements.
  • Work high-visibility and complex projects across multiple disciplines from diverse NASA centers and organizations.
  • Generate cost analysis and white papers as required to ensure stakeholder clarity of project scope and status.

Qualifications

10+ years experience in project and configuration management. Bachelor’s degree in a related field. PMP certification desired. Must have project management experience for mid to large projects with varying levels of complexity and multiple stakeholders. Experience with configuration management procedures across a wide variety of disparate assets. Familiarity with the PMBOK. Familiarity with IT-related projects at KSC preferred. Proficient with MS 365. Able to communicate with program management, technical staff, and stakeholders in a clear and professional manner. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate precise information to both business and technical staff. Must be a US citizen.
