This job is not remote. This is a hybridin-office role. 

Responsibilities:

  • Take part to the planning and establishment ofan effective internal controls strategy and ensure strategy isexecuted to ensure the greater business is controlled efficientlyand effectively.
  • Assist in managing processand control owner relations.
  • Establishes keyrelationships with internal and external stakeholders to bringimprovements to internal control environment.
  • Assist department leaders to develop, monitor andmaintain an effective internal controls environment.
  • Monitor and report on internal control weaknesses andfollow up/track resolution of control gaps via timely managementaction plans.
  • Work with business process andcontrol owners as an “internal controls coach and businesspartner”. This will also assist in embedding controls throughoutthe organization and ensure that improvement action plans aredelivered by process and control owners.
  • Planand implement periodic internal controls monitoring assessments ofthe business control environment.
  • Assist inplanning, coordinating and executing the completion of the periodicRisks & Controls Self-Assessment and actively work with processand control owners to implement, track and resolve any relatedremediation or control updates noted.
  • Ensureinternal and external benchmarking to ensure internal controlsenvironment continues to reflect key business risks and is “fit forpurpose” over time.
  • Assist in review of theeffectiveness of internal control design and recommend improvementsas warranted.
  • Assist in assessing systems andsecurity risks and ensure that IT operations follow corporatestandards and regulatory requirements.
  • Keepupdated on current developments affecting internal controls andaudit procedures. Provide updates to management as needed andproactively effect corresponding changes in internalcontrols.
  • Use a proactive approach to followup on ineffective controls and implementation of improvementplans.

Desired Skills andExperience:

  • Bachelor‘s Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Professional designation (CPA, CIA, etc.), or in progressis preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience ina related area
  • Strong client focus and abilityto build strong relationships with the business
  • Strong business acumen and desire to learn
  • Analytical with attention to detail
  • Smart; proven ability to “simplify thecomplex”
  • Strong problem solving anddecision-making skills
    Strong negotiationskills
  • Strong written and verbalcommunications and presentations skills; demonstrated ability toimplement change effectively
  • Experience inimplementing risk-based processes and controls
  • Global and international experiences a plus
  • Knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS,etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft SuiteOffice
  • Experience of a range of ERPs anadvantage
  • Desire to be apart of a growing teamand work within the team setting
  • Able to workin a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travelup to 25% of the time
