Position Overview

The Senior Project Controls Analyst will take charge of overseeing the project controls functions alongside the internal project management team to ensure successful delivery of project objectives within financial and timeline constraints.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate project initialization in the Enterprise Planning & Controls software.
  • Conduct data analysis, review logs, and generate reports utilizing the Enterprise Planning & Controls software or alternative tools.
  • Establish a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
  • Design, implement, and sustain comprehensive scheduling reports, financial reports, cash flow analyses, and forecasts for multiple projects.
  • Adhere to project execution strategies.
  • Manage planning, scheduling, logistics, and cost control for engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
  • Act as a liaison for technical inquiries from the project team.
  • Authorize Purchase Orders and/or Subcontracts ensuring correct coding.
  • Document and update changes to financial reports or forecasts.
  • Collaborate with the Project Management Team and Accounting Department to assess project expenses and contingency funds, supporting external audits.
  • Evaluate upstream (prime contract) and downstream (purchase order & subcontract) change orders.
  • Prepare and present cash flow reports.
  • Develop various levels of project schedules.
  • Review and apply logic ties within the schedules.
  • Monitor resource allocation within project schedules.
  • Support Interactive Project Planning Meetings (IPPM).
  • Create diverse schedule reports and determine suitable reporting formats.
  • Develop, review, and verify pre-programmed project scheduling reports and supporting documentation for accuracy.
  • Consult with the project team regarding schedule progress.
  • Analyze and assess schedule management using critical path method techniques, estimating, project cost management, and forecasting.
  • Conduct schedule what-if analyses.
  • Establish and maintain an earned value management system.
  • Input and validate progress measurements.
  • Develop and maintain progress curves.
  • Execute material takeoffs.
  • Perform quality checks and inspections on project controls deliverables.
  • Conduct field audits to ensure reporting and processes are accurate.
  • Assist with Project Forensic Analysis as needed.
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all organizational policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline, with a minimum of 3 years of direct project controls experience, or equivalent applicable experience.
  • Preferred experience with Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • OSHA 10-hour safety certification or ability to obtain.
