Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

Location: Seaford, Delaware

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our educational team in Seaford, Delaware. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive speech and language services to students, supporting their academic and social development. This role requires collaboration with educators, parents, and other specialists to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs) to address students' speech and language needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in groups.
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support students' speech and language development.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and develop intervention strategies.
  • Provide training and support to teachers and parents on strategies to support speech and language development in the classroom and at home.
  • Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Delaware State License in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Valid Delaware Department of Education certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist or eligibility to obtain certification.
  • Preferred: Experience working in a school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of speech-language assessment and intervention techniques.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Successful completion of a background check and fingerprint clearance.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
