Job Title: Special Education Teacher (Middle School)

Location: Anderson, South Carolina Area

Duration: July 25, 2024 - May 23, 2025

Caseload Size: Maximum 18 students (with 2 assistants)

Grade Levels: 6-8

School Hours: 7:45 am - 3:30 pm

Soliant Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in the Anderson, South Carolina area for the upcoming school year. This position offers the opportunity to work with middle school students in a supportive and collaborative educational environment.

Position Details:

  • Provide instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs in grades 6-8.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to address the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure the implementation of appropriate accommodations and modifications.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed to support student learning.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and services provided.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field.
  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education (South Carolina certification preferred).
  • Experience working with middle school students with diverse learning needs.
  • Strong understanding of special education laws and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
