  • Job Summary
    • The IT Business Applications Supervisor is responsible for managing the operational support, maintenance, and development activities for healthcare business applications. The position combines supervisor responsibilities with in-depth hands-on technical expertise.  The supervisor is responsible for appropriate staffing, staff management, performance management, and continuous service improvement.

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

      1. Provide oversight and supervision to the IT Business Application team to deliver IT services

      2. Assesses user needs to provide support and proactive service, including analysis of opportunities in order to take advantage of available tools 

      3. Acts as a focal point for communicating related system problems within the department and collaborates with other teams and vendors on changes, fixes, and updates 

      4. Manages the release process for applications which includes effective department wide and end user communication 

      5. Manages testing scripts and identifies opportunities for improvement 

      6. Negotiates resolution of conflicting requirements across the agencies and/or departments 

      7. Sets and measures performance objectives and provides regular one-on-one feedback to all members of the team

      8. Hires and evaluates the performance of direct reports, and provides ongoing coaching and staff development

      9. Addresses individual staff performance problems as needed 

      10. Manages delivery and SLAs by guiding incident resolution, problem management, maintenance, and enhancement tickets raised by the end users for assigned applications 

      11. Develops relevant metrics, measures and publishes the performance of the services provided and enables continuous improvement activities in collaboration with peer groups 

      12. Works closely with other IT leaders in identifying, evaluating, selecting, and implementing specific information technologies that support the business plans and IT strategies

      14. Assists with the preparation of budget for IT systems and services related interfaces and applications

      15. Keeps abreast of new developments and forecasts future trends in the area of application integration in the healthcare industry

      16. Maintains a strong understanding of technology and its application to achieve business objectives

      17. Prepares analysis and or proposals for other enterprise departments when necessary

      19. Develop and maintain an effective on-call rotation for 24/7 support 

      20. Provides ongoing troubleshooting, support, and maintenance of applications

      21. Operational oversight and support of the ServiceNow platform

  • Job Requirements
    • Education
      • Preferred: Associate’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
    • Experience
      • Required: Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support or a similar technical role, or healthccare related experience. Prior experience in team leadership, project coordination, and customer support is preferred OR Associate’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.ServiceNow experience -Preferred 
    • Skills
      • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
      • Proficiency in IT project management methodologies and tools.
      • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
      • In-depth understanding of IT applications, systems, infrastructure, and operations.
      • Knowledge of process analysis, optimization, and documentation.
      • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
